Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, who gave testimony under the judicial cooperation provision and was dismissed after being arrested, is reported to have been transferred from Silivri Prison to Çorlu Prison. Journalist Barış Yarkadaş said, "After the confessions, it became very difficult for him to stay in Silivri Prison. They likely transferred him to Çorlu Prison because allowing visits and his lawyers' arrivals and departures might cause issues."

Özkan Yalım, the mayor of Uşak who was dismissed after his arrest, is alleged to have been transferred from Silivri Prison to Çorlu Prison after making use of active remorse and giving a statement. According to a report by Tv100, journalist Barış Yarkadaş announced the development during a live broadcast.

In his statement on tv100, Barış Yarkadaş said, “Özkan Yalım was transferred from Silivri Prison to Çorlu Prison this evening. This is new information. Perhaps even his family doesn’t know yet. I also learned about it just as I was going on air.”

“STAYING IN SILIVRI BECAME DIFFICULT AFTER CONFESSIONS”

Yarkadaş stated that the transfer decision came after his statements under the scope of active remorse, adding, “As I understand it, after the confessions, it became very difficult for him to stay in Silivri Prison. They likely transferred him to Çorlu Prison because visits from his lawyers and the like could have been problematic.”

Continuing his remarks, Yarkadaş said, “Today, I called his lawyers to confirm the information, but their phones were off. I confirmed it from judicial sources. We learned that he was sent to Çorlu Prison.”
