The young driver, who survived the accident with minor scratches, and the vehicle owner were fined a total of 282,000 liras in administrative penalties.
IGNORED TEAM'S WARNING
The incident occurred on Imam Gazali Street in Zafertepe Neighborhood. During a traffic inspection, the driver of the car with license plate 43 NK 880, A.O., was wanted to be stopped on suspicion, but he ignored the teams' warnings and stepped on the gas. Losing control during the escape, the young driver rolled the car into a ditch. A.O., who along with two friends in the vehicle narrowly escaped with minor scratches from the accident, was caught by police teams.
NO DRIVING LICENSE EITHER
During the investigation, it was determined that A.O., who is only 16 years old, did not have a driving license. The 282,000 lira fine imposed on the young driver, who was sent to Kutahya City Hospital as a precaution, and the vehicle owner, led to comments like "He paid the price of his life at age 16."
