In Pakistan's Balochistan province, a passenger bus fell into a ravine, resulting in the initial reports of 40 deaths and 8 injuries. Search and rescue teams as well as medical teams have been dispatched to the scene and are continuing their operations, while an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
A traffic accident in Pakistan has led to a major disaster. A passenger bus traveling from the Sherani district of Balochistan province overturned into a ravine after losing control while en route in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
40 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
Regional authorities announced that according to initial assessments, 40 people lost their lives in the accident, while 8 others were injured.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals after receiving initial treatment from health teams dispatched to the scene.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Following the accident report, search and rescue teams as well as medical teams were dispatched to the area. Authorities announced that an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.
