In his post, Kılıçdaroğlu reacted to the detention images, arguing that Göktaş should have been released after giving a statement within the scope of the investigation against him.

Kılıçdaroğlu stated in his statement: "I watched this image in anguish. Despite the investigation against Deniz Göktaş, he returned to his country with his backpack and t-shirt.
