Pedestrian hit by two vehicles in Malatya lost their life

On the Malatya-Elazig highway, during the night hours, 35-year-old K.K. was hit first by a car and then by another vehicle while trying to cross the road. The individual, who was severely injured, died in the hospital.

A 35-year-old person trying to cross the road in Malatya lost his life after being hit by two vehicles.

The accident occurred around 00:15 at night on the Malatya-Elazığ highway, opposite the Sancaktar Cemetery. According to claims, K.K., who was trying to run across the road in the area, was first hit by a Hyundai car with license plate 44 LV 982, and then by another Hyundai vehicle with license plate 42 BGB 788 traveling in the same direction. The person thrown onto the road was seriously injured, and police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.

DRIVERS INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

K.K., who received first aid at the scene, could not be saved despite all interventions at Battalgazi State Hospital where he was taken. The drivers of the vehicles involved in the accident were taken to the police station to give their statements, while K.K.'s body was taken to the forensic medicine institute morgue after hospital procedures.

The investigation into the accident continues.
