US SOLDIERS HAVE WITHDRAWN FROM SOME LOCATIONS

US soldiers evacuated three small military points located in the villages of Hadra and Fırat around the Koniko and Ömer gas fields in Deir ez-Zor province yesterday, pulling back to main bases.

The soldiers and equipment in Hasakah were moved to a base in the Rumeilan district of the same province, while those in Deir ez-Zor were relocated to the base in the Koniko gas field.

PRESENT IN 21 LOCATIONS

Since the start of Operation Peace Spring in October 2019, the US has withdrawn from many of its bases in the operation area, focusing on the oil and gas fields.

Currently, US forces are present in 21 bases and military points in the provinces of Hasakah, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor, as well as in the Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) district of Aleppo province, east of the Euphrates.

The areas where US forces are present in northeastern Syria are under the occupation of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG.
