According to Iran's state media, President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the public, stating that the country's energy infrastructure had been damaged due to attacks by the US and Israel. Pezeshkian said that controlling electricity consumption under current conditions is among the government's priorities.

In a statement broadcast on state television, Pezeshkian emphasized that citizens need to review their daily consumption habits. Pezeshkian stated, "The enemy attacks our infrastructure and encircles us so that the people become dissatisfied. We don't need the people's sacrifice right now, but we ask them to reduce energy consumption. What's wrong with turning on 2 lights instead of 10 lights at home?"
