The members of DİSK, KESK, TMMOB, and TTB, who gathered in front of the Çankaya gate of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) where the 2025 budget discussions are ongoing, wanted to make a press statement. The press statement, which was intended to be made with the call "Budget for the People, Democratic Turkey," was prevented by the police with a pepper spray intervention.
POLICE INTERVENTION IN ANKARA PROTEST
A new one of the 'We Can't Make Ends Meet' actions organized under the leadership of the unions was held today. Police intervened against the workers and retirees who gathered in Ankara and wanted to march to the parliament.
The retirees were also not allowed to make a press statement. When the police teams began to intervene with the protesters, retirees who wanted to come out from the back road of the parliament to the front were blocked by police intervention.
