President Erdoğan announced the payment details for houses in the earthquake zone for the first time. Erdoğan stated, "Our citizens in 11 provinces will receive their homes at fixed prices without interest. Our state will cover 65% of the housing costs. Moreover, we will not collect payments for 2 years. The same price will be paid for 18 years. For our 3+1 houses, a monthly installment of 8,750 TL will be paid. Those who wish to pay in advance can purchase houses starting from 484,000 TL."
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan used the following statements in his related announcement:
"For 23 years, whatever we have done, we are doing the same for the housing of the February 6 earthquake. In Izmir, the installment for the houses is 1,600 lira. Each of our brothers has become a homeowner with symbolic amounts. Our citizens in 11 provinces will also have their homes at fixed prices without interest. We have revealed what is best for our nation.
We are covering all the infrastructure costs of the 455,000 disaster houses we have built. We are giving our citizens a 50% discount on the remaining price. The state pays 65% of the housing prices, and moreover, we will not collect payments for 2 years. The same price will be paid for 18 years. It will be fixed and interest-free for 18 years. Payments will start 2 years after the keys are received. They will pay the same price for 18 years. We will offer our houses to our citizens at an average price of 1 million 890 thousand lira. For our three plus one houses, a monthly installment of 8,750 lira will be paid. This price will not change; it will be fixed for 18 years, meaning it will be interest-free.
We are offering our citizens another alternative. If anyone wants to pay in advance, we will make arrangements in our Parliament. Our citizens will be able to buy these houses for 484 thousand lira, which is almost a quarter of the price. For those who want to use credit while purchasing this, our public banks will provide the necessary convenience. Again, we will cover the infrastructure costs of our village houses and will also provide a 50% discount on the costs. There, payments will also be at a fixed installment of 8,100 lira for eighteen years. Again, citizens who want to buy in advance can purchase our village houses for 448 thousand lira in cash. Yes, I wish the payment figures we have announced to be auspicious and beneficial."
