President Erdoğan has signed! New ambassadors to Lebanon and Pakistan.

The appointment decisions made by the Presidency have been published in the Official Gazette. Irfan Neziroğlu has been appointed to the Embassy of Pakistan, and Murat Lütem has been appointed to the Embassy of Lebanon.

Appointment decisions signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were published in the Official Gazette and came into effect.

NEW AMBASSADOR AND HIGH-LEVEL APPOINTMENTS MADE

With the appointment decisions, Zeynep Kızıltan, Director General of Multilateral Relations, was appointed as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Turkey to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Esen Altuğ, Director General of International Economic Relations, was appointed to the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Turkey to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, İrfan Neziroğlu, Director General of Support Services, was appointed to the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Murat Lütem, Director General of Bilateral Relations, was appointed to the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Lebanon.

According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, Yalçın Gemici was appointed as the Chief Tax Inspector in the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, which had an open position. Behçet Bakır was appointed as the Provincial Director of National Education in Malatya, which also had an open position.

NEW APPOINTMENTS IN THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY AND THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY

Additionally, in the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the following inspectors were appointed to the open Chief Inspector positions: Hüseyin Gökçe, Emrah Yıldırım, Ulaş Kırlı, Çağrı Büyük, Nesimi Üstün, Baybara Yemliha, Ferhat Mişe, Yağmur Venüs Toprak Öztürk, and Onur Bayrak.

In the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Personnel General Manager Adem Dinç was dismissed. He was replaced by Seyfullah Arslantürk, who was the Deputy General Manager at the same place. Additionally, Seyfullah Arslantürk was appointed in place of Adem Dinç, who was dismissed from the Board of Directors of the Turkish Sugar Factories General Directorate.

With the decision, Abdulvahit Fidan, who was the Deputy General Manager at the same place, was appointed as the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pipeline and Petroleum Transportation Inc.

CHANGES IN THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF FOUNDATIONS

In the General Directorate of Foundations, Ümit Gökhan Çiçek, Regional Director of Foundations in Hatay, Erdal Pınar, Regional Director of Foundations in Kastamonu, Ali Erkan Öztürk, Regional Director of Foundations in Samsun, and İsmet Çalık, Regional Director of Foundations in Trabzon were dismissed. Erdoğan Tunç, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports in Sivas, was appointed as the Regional Director of Foundations in Gaziantep, Adem Bozkurt to the Regional Directorate of Foundations in Hatay, Halil Alper to the Regional Directorate of Foundations in Kastamonu, Hüseyin Uysal to the Regional Directorate of Foundations in Samsun, and Reşat Asrak, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports in Kastamonu, to the Regional Directorate of Foundations in Trabzon. Adnan Er and Mevlüt Çam were appointed to the vacant positions in the Foundations Council Memberships in the General Directorate of Foundations.

WHO IS MURAT LÜTEM, THE AMBASSADOR OF LEBANON?

Murat Lütem, born in 1969 in Ankara, completed his education in International Relations at the Middle East Technical University and graduated in 1993.

He started his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same year. Between 2001 and 2003, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.

After serving as foreign affairs advisor to Abdullah Gül in 2007, he was a researcher at Harvard University's Weatherhead Center.

After serving as the Consul General in Boston until 2013, he worked for three years as a special advisor to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

In 2016, he was appointed as the Ambassador to Singapore and then became the Director General of Bilateral Relations for North America.

WHO IS İRFAN NEZİROĞLU, THE AMBASSADOR OF PAKISTAN?

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu was born in 1966 in Trabzon.

He graduated from the International Relations Department of the Middle East Technical University in 1991 and completed his master's degree in the same department. He also obtained a master's degree in Human Rights Law (LLM) at the University of Essex in England. He completed his doctorate at Selçuk University Faculty of Communication.

He started his career as an assistant expert in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in 1992. After becoming an expert, he served successively as Deputy Director of Laws and Decisions (2003-2007), Director of Laws and Decisions (2007-2010), Deputy Secretary General Responsible for Legislation (2010-2011), and Secretary General of the Grand National Assembly (2011-2016). He then served as the chief advisor to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, İsmail Kahraman (2016-2017). He served as Turkey's Ambassador to Sudan from 2017 to 2022. On May 3, 2023, he was appointed as the General Manager of Support Services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In 2015, he received the title of associate professor in the field of Political Life and Institutions. He taught Parliamentary Law courses at Başkent University and Ufuk University. He has published numerous articles and books. He speaks English and intermediate-level Arabic. He is married and has three children. During his tenure as Ambassador to Sudan, he was selected as the most active ambassador by the Sudanese people.
