With the decision published under President Erdogan's signature, a total of 6,250 positions were created for the General Directorate of Security. With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, 925 chief inspectors, 200 central police chiefs, and 425 police superintendents were allocated to the central organization; and 4,200 police superintendents and 500 computer operators were allocated to the provincial organization.
The new regulation regarding the staffing structure of the General Directorate of Security has been published in the Official Gazette.
In line with the decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a total of 6,250 new positions will be established for the central and provincial organizations of the General Directorate of Security.
Within the scope of the regulation, a total of 1,550 positions were allocated to the central organization and 4,700 positions to the provincial organization.
1,550 POSITIONS FOR THE CENTRAL ORGANIZATION
According to the decision, 925 chief inspector positions of the first degree were established for the Central Organization of the General Directorate of Security.
Within the central organization, 200 central police chief positions of the first degree and a total of 425 police superintendent positions with degrees ranging from 2 to 5 were also created.
Thus, the number of new positions established solely for the Central Organization of the General Directorate of Security reached 1,550.
4,700 POSITIONS FOR THE PROVINCIAL ORGANIZATION
The largest part of the regulation consisted of the positions created for the Provincial Organization of the General Directorate of Security.
Within the scope of the decision, 500 computer operator positions were established for the provincial organization. Additionally, a total of 4,200 police superintendent positions with degrees ranging from 2 to 5 were created.
Thus, the total number of positions allocated to the provincial organization became 4,700.
POSITIONS DISTRIBUTED TO CENTRAL AND PROVINCIAL ORGANIZATIONS
With the decision, out of the 6,250 positions established for the General Directorate of Security, 5,750 consisted of chief inspector, central police chief, and police superintendent positions related to police services. The remaining 500 positions were allocated to computer operators in the provincial organization.
With the regulation, senior and superintendent positions were increased in the central organization, while police superintendent positions were predominantly increased in the provincial organization.
