President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the key delivery, lottery draw, and mass opening ceremony of the 130,000th housing unit in the TOKİ Housing Project in the Gülderen Neighborhood of Hatay. Emphasizing that Turkey is a very large state and that brotherhood cannot be broken, President Erdoğan gave a clear message in the fight against terrorism.

ERDOĞAN: WE WILL DEFINITELY BUILD A TURKEY WITHOUT TERROR

Erdoğan said: "Terror barons and the lackeys of imperialism cannot infiltrate our Turkey Century. Turkey is a very large state. We evaluate with a memory exceeding 2,200 years. We consider everything before taking a step. We will walk towards our goals by breaking the traps set. We will definitely build a Turkey without terrorism. On this land, for many more centuries, 85 million people, regardless of being Turkish, Kurdish, Arab, Alevi, or Sunni, will live together in brotherhood. Terrorist organizations will not be able to use us as a tool. They will not shake our internal front. They will not be able to break our brotherhood."

"I send my greetings and love to all of Hatay. Today, we are together for a very important ceremony in our city of brotherhood, peace, and history, Hatay. Hatay met real municipalism on April 1. I want to pay my debt of gratitude. Seven months ago, we experienced a very contentious local government election. Hatay was among the cities that were most affected and debated. We witnessed distressing events. While the wounds of the earthquake were being healed, others were playing musical chairs among themselves. Hatay had been left neglected. As the People's Alliance, we listened to the cries of our brothers and sisters from Hatay.

"THERE IS NO DISCRIMINATION AMONG US"

We sent you a mayor who will, God willing, be a double-eyed and four-eyed with the deputies, and together with the president, this place will rise again. Together with the metropolitan municipality, a total of 8 districts have been entrusted to safe and competent hands. I sincerely thank the people of Hatay. We will strive to be worthy of your favor. We will not be among those who say no service without votes, but among those who provide service to all our brothers and sisters from Hatay. There is no discrimination among us. You believed in us, you trusted us. Inshallah, we will seize every day as an opportunity and serve you with love.

"OUR PRIMARY AGENDA IS TO QUICKLY SETTLE OUR EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN NEW HOMES"

We are working tirelessly to revive and rebuild the cities affected by the February 6 earthquakes. The primary agenda of our government and alliance is to quickly settle our earthquake victims in new homes. We have directed all the capacity of our state to the earthquake region. Turkey experienced the disaster of the century on February 6. We were shaken by an earthquake that released energy 15 times greater than the earthquake in Haiti. This earthquake caused great destruction in 11 of our provinces, especially in Hatay. On that day, as some of our brothers expressed, we experienced sorrow and helplessness. Although the pain in our hearts and the destruction we experienced were immense, we always kept our hope alive.

Immediately after the earthquake, we started the construction of 180,000 housing units within 3 months. We turned our 11 provinces into the largest construction site in the world. 160,000 of our architect, engineer, and worker brothers are working at 1,900 construction sites and 4,333 villages. We have tendered for 350,430 housing units and workplaces. We have delivered 101,254 of them, including 18,404 in Hatay. Today, we are drawing lots for a total of 29,311 more homes and delivering them to their rightful owners. We are experiencing the joy of delivering the keys to our 130,000th disaster housing unit. I wish our new homes to be auspicious and beneficial. In Hatay, we have a total of 152,959 rightful owners. In 11 provinces, there are 442,709 rightful owners. This year, we will deliver 201,688 more homes and workplaces. By the end of 2025, we will have delivered 452,958 housing units, workplaces, and barns.

"WE ARE NOT AMONG THOSE WHO FORGET THE PROMISES WE MADE IN THE SQUARES"

We are not among those who forget the promises we made in the squares; we are a government that is faithful to its words. If we say we will do something, we will do it unless there is an obstacle from God. The total amount of our cash assistance through AFAD has exceeded 36 billion 150 million lira. The state and the nation are working hand in hand. On this occasion, I wish God's mercy upon all our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake. I congratulate our architect, engineer, and worker brothers who sweat for this cause. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Baykar, Doğuş Group, Türkiye İş Bankası, and all philanthropists who did not withhold their support.

We see how developed countries struggle with smaller disasters. We see the organizational capacity of our state. Our determination to restore our cities as soon as possible is evident.
