President Erdoğan: The big turnips in the bag have not been spilled.

President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is speaking at his party's parliamentary group meeting. Erdoğan stated, "When the big turnips in the bag are spilled out, the people will not even have the faces to look at their own relatives."

Starting his speech by greeting the party members in the hall and the citizens in front of the screen, President Erdoğan stated, "From here, we send our greetings and affection to every corner of our country, every inch of the Islamic world, and all of humanity. Especially during this blessed month of Ramadan, I respectfully greet all the oppressed who are having sahur with whatever they can find, fasting throughout the day, and breaking their fast, as well as all the brave Palestinians who do not bow to the oppressor, on behalf of myself and my party."

"I WISH FOR THE OPPRESSED UNDER ISRAEL'S TYRANNY TO FIND RELIEF"

Erdoğan expressed that he congratulates the upcoming Night of Power to be observed tonight and the Ramadan Feast that will begin to be celebrated on Sunday, saying, "I pray to my Lord that, for the sake of these blessed days, He surrounds us with His forgiveness, mercy, and blessings, and that He brings our brothers under oppression to relief as soon as possible."

President Erdoğan continued his speech as follows;

You know, one of the virtues that Ramadan-i Sharif brings us, alongside countless beauties, is the peak of the spirit of sharing, solidarity, and brotherhood during this month. For centuries, we have strengthened our brotherhood with this spirit, opening our hearts to each other as well as our tables. We are infinitely grateful to Allah. As the AK Party family, we are fully present on the ground with our organization, municipalities, members of parliament, central headquarters, and cabinet.

I express my gratitude to all my companions who are running to enter one more heart, to hold the hand of one more stranger, to knock on the door of one more needy person, and to touch one more wounded heart, in every corner of our 81 provinces, in all districts and towns of Turkey, in all neighborhoods and villages, for a month, without paying attention to those who try to cast a shadow on this magnificent spirit feast. I hope that the consultations and evaluations we will make in our group meeting will be beneficial for our country, our nation, and our democracy. I send my love and respect to all my companions who have devoted themselves to the AK Party since its establishment, who have served, and who have contributed.

"THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS 'OLD' IN THE AK PARTY"

Pointing out a particular issue, Erdoğan emphasized that, as he expressed during the iftar with former members of parliament a few days ago, there is no such concept as 'old' in the AK Party.

Stating that everyone who maintains their faith and commitment to the blessed cause represented by the AK Party is eternally and forever an AK Party member, Erdoğan noted, "Positions, titles, and ranks are temporary. What matters is to serve our country, our nation, and all humanity with this consciousness and to gain a permanent place in hearts. It is not fitting for a party that has received the most favor from our nation in the history of the Republic, that has brought the most investment and works to our country, and that has provided unprecedented services to our nation in every field to be anything else."

"THEY COULD NOT SHOW THE VIRTUE OF SAYING 'WE HAVE MADE A MISTAKE'"

Since the first day they set out, Erdoğan stated that while they have been trying to strengthen their bond with the nation, some have been trying to sow discord among them, and he continued;

Some of these efforts stemmed from ideological obsessions. Over time, they realized that such concerns were unfounded, but they could not show the virtue of saying "we have made a mistake." Some of the hostilities directed at us were due to those who exploit the country under various masks, stemming from our disruption of the plundering wheel. For 23 years, we have seen the greatest reactions and the greatest hatred from these groups.

"THE GRUDGE OF THE LOOTERS HAS NOT YET SUBSIDED"

Another truth is this: Sometimes they exploit Gazi Mustafa Kemal, sometimes the West, and sometimes the sensitivities of various segments of our nation regarding faith and origin; the grudge of these looters has not yet subsided. Those who harbor existential enmity against Turkey and the Turkish nation have used both sides to their advantage. One of the reasons behind the widespread and reckless execution of fifth column activities, including working to sink the Turkish economy, is the excessive number of rootless individuals who prioritize their own interests above all else.

"WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN THOSE WHO CHEERED FOR TANKS WHILE BEING PAWNS OF FETÖ'S BETRAYALS"

In the past 100 years, whatever gains we have achieved for this country and nation, we have succeeded despite their sabotage and betrayals. Yes, we have spent all these years standing tall without collapsing, but we have not forgotten those who intended to create chaos with dark murders, those who shouted for a coup to prevent us from being elected as President, those who cheered for tanks while being pawns of FETÖ's betrayals, those who hoped for the attacks of terrorist organizations on our borders and cities. Likewise, we have not forgotten those who call for international intervention in our country whenever they are in trouble, those who seek to achieve what they could not through political struggle by collapsing the economy, those who try to pit the nation against each other through faith, origin, political, and social differences at every opportunity, and those who attempt to exploit even a disaster like an earthquake for their own delusions; in short, we have not forgotten, nor will we forget, those who strive to defeat us through illegitimate means and those who are blinded enough to set the country and the nation on fire.

"THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN BETRAYAL WILL ACCOUNT TO JUSTICE"

Both our nation and our state have recorded all of these, to be held accountable one by one when necessary. Indeed, the disrespect shown to our nation, the attacks on our democracy, and the betrayals against the national will have been accounted for one by one before the law and on legitimate grounds. From now on, every act of sabotage against the Turkish economy and the welfare and peace of the nation will be accounted for before the judiciary. Those who have been involved in betrayal, those who have ambushed the brotherhood of the nation, will eventually account to justice. Look, this is not called blind enmity or revenge; it is the reflex of the national will, the requirement of being a state, and the condition of the principle of eternal duration.

Of course, as a politician, I accept that people will change, just like everyone else, and we see examples of this firsthand. But at the same time, we are very well aware of the hyenas disguised in sheep's clothing, the troublemakers who appear to be righteous, and the hypocrites who roam around us, looking to stab us in the back.

I particularly draw your attention to this point. We look at the issue through the inspiration we receive from Hoca Ahmed Yesevi, Yunus, Mevlana, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli, Hacı Bayram-ı Veli, and many other sultans of the heart. This ancient teaching tells us that we are obliged to embrace all 85 million of our countrymen and as many of humanity as we can reach. Just like the presumption of innocence in law, the presumption of declaration is fundamental in politics. We are obliged to welcome everyone who knocks on the door of the AK Party and greets us inside.

In fact, it is our primary duty to invite people under this roof by going door to door, street by street. We must ask those who come to us not the questions that Allah will ask them, but the questions that the members of a political organization responsible for governing the country will ask. In other words, we are responsible for asking those who honor our party about their needs, expectations, and troubles, rather than their beliefs, origins, or sins and virtues, and to strive for solutions to these issues.

Without ever neglecting this essential duty, how can we walk towards the future in the strongest way without erasing from our memory what we have experienced from the past to the present? This is what we will be searching for. As members of the AK Party Parliamentary Group, I want you to never lose this perspective. I especially ask you to keep these thoughts alive in your mind and heart at all times.

"WE HAVE MORE SERVICES TO BRING TO OUR COUNTRY"

We will not neglect the qualities that make us who we are amidst the chaos of daily events, and while fulfilling the requirements of the inevitable reality of the conjuncture, we will definitely not deviate from our true course. We have more works, projects, investments, and services to bring to our country. To realize these, we trust in Allah first, then in our nation, and in the strong support that our nation will give us. I expect much more effort and much more intense work from you in this direction.

We have a determination that we have been expressing for a long time, which, although it may disturb some, shows that the developments we are experiencing are the very truth. The fate of Turkey has become intertwined, unified, and one with the fate of the AK Party and the People's Alliance. The recent developments have once again and very strikingly proven this determination. Look, as the People's Alliance, we won the 2023 elections with the vision of the Century of Turkey and took the presidency, and we secured the majority in the Parliament. However, in the municipal elections held last year, we faced losses that we did not expect, as we did not achieve the desired results.
