Speaking at the parliamentary group meeting of his party, President Erdoğan said, "We have initiated a brand new era in communication and telecommunications in our country. As of today, Turkey has officially been introduced to 5th generation mobile communication services, commonly known as 5G technology. We have experienced the joy of bringing 5G technology to our country, which will enhance our competitiveness, improve our communication, technology, energy, and production efficiency, and reinforce our digital independence."
President Erdoğan announced in his speech at the parliamentary group meeting of his party that Turkey has transitioned to 5G technology. Erdoğan emphasized that this step is a critical threshold in terms of digital transformation.
In his speech, Erdoğan stated, "As you know, yesterday we initiated a brand new era in communication and telecommunications in our country. From today, Turkey has officially met 5th generation mobile communication services, commonly known as 5G technology. We have experienced the joy of bringing 5G technology to our country, which will enhance our competitiveness, improve our communication, technology, energy, and production efficiency, and solidify our digital independence. 5G, which provides data transfer speeds 10 times faster than the previously used 4.5G technology, will hopefully place our country at the center of digital transformation. We will gradually spread this revolutionary technology in Turkey with a phased strategy. Initially, we will start by delivering this technology to every corner of our country, beginning with high traffic areas where user demand is high," he said.
Highlights from President Erdoğan's speech are as follows:
"We will consider 86 million people as our brothers and partners in destiny, and we will never allow our brotherhood to be tarnished. I wish for the Ramadan Feast to be blessed and sacred once again for humanity.
I also congratulate the Nevruz Feast. I thank our esteemed nation for celebrating it in accordance with this spirit. I hope Nevruz brings good fortune.
"WE ARE CONCERNED WITH STOPPING THE FLOWING BLOOD"
We have protected ourselves against the aggressive systems that target us and our party, often exceeding the limits of political courtesy. Sometimes we attributed these to the inexperience of the party leader. At other times, we acted with the hope that they would find the right path. We did not respond to their provocations. While we were surrounded by a ring of fire, with missiles flying beyond our borders, we stayed away from any political discussions that would distract us. Let everyone know this; our stance is not to tolerate the indecencies that have been committed, but rather it is our decency. For 23 years, we have been striving to build upon what has been established. We are in the struggle to make Turkey a global player. We are concerned with stopping the flowing blood and extending a helping hand to the oppressed and victims in their difficult times.
We are progressing towards our goal of the Century of Turkey without getting caught up in the virtual agendas stirred up by the opposition.
As the AK Party and the People's Alliance, we have great responsibilities. We have a duty to protect our country from the fire in the region. We have a heavy responsibility to ensure the peace of our nation and to enable it to look to the future with confidence. We will not allow anyone to interfere with our goals.
"WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE LANGUAGE OF FIGHTING TO POISON POLITICS"
We must all be aware that the Turkish nation is a nation of wisdom. You cannot deceive this nation; you cannot perform political tricks on this nation. This noble nation knows very well how to distinguish the straight from the crooked, the sincere from the fraud, and the moral from the immoral. Our nation knows very well the quality difference between the AK Party and the People's Alliance and the main opposition CHP. My citizens see very well the aggressive rhetoric of the opposition that does not even take a break during Ramadan and they give the deserved score. They turn every opportunity they get into a symphony of insults against us and our party, which only diminishes themselves, not us. We have never been a tool in this game. We will not allow the politics of anger, hatred, and the language of fighting to poison politics.
It is neither the right nor the limit of anyone, including the main opposition, to insult the President of this country and the ruling party with ugly expressions. The CHP has written the book on coup-making and juntas in this country.
"THE COUP-MAKING MENTALITY OF CHP DOES NOT CHANGE"
Open and look at Turkish political history, and you will see the CHP walking hand in hand with coup-makers. You will see the CHP as the main actor of May 27. The ideology of the CHP is the source of inspiration for the coup-makers of September 12. Since November 3, 2002, the CHP has been involved in all provocations targeting Turkey. The CHP was present before the April 27 declaration. It is the CHP that patted the backs of those in the streets during the Gezi events. It is again the CHP that tried to whitewash the coup-makers by calling the betrayal of July 15 a controlled coup. Coup-making is the character and identity of the CHP. Supporting a coup is the national sport of the CHP. The CHP is the embodiment of coup-making in this country. Just as a tin cannot be turned into gold by painting it yellow, the coup-making mentality of the CHP does not change."
