After the statement by U.S. President Donald Trump that "the leader of Iran's new regime has requested a ceasefire," attention turned to Iran's religious leader, Mujtaba Khamenei, who made a statement. Khamenei, sending a message to continue the war, said, "I declare that Iran's consistent policy of continuing to support resistance against the Zionist-U.S. enemy has been firmly announced."

While the echoes of U.S. President Donald Trump's claim of a "ceasefire" regarding the Iran war continue, Iran's religious leader Mojtaba Khamenei has made a statement. Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized in a statement on his social media account that they will continue the war.

KHAMENEI: WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT RESISTANCE

Khamenei stated: "I declare that the consistent policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the path of Imam Khomeini and the martyr leader, to continue supporting resistance against the Zionist-U.S. enemy has been definitively announced."

"TRUMP'S CEASEFIRE STATEMENTS HAVE NO TRUTH"

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Baghaei made a statement to Al Jazeera regarding Trump's claims about the ceasefire. Regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that "the leader of Iran's new regime asked him for a ceasefire," Baghaei assessed, "Trump's statements about the ceasefire have no truth."

TRUMP: IRAN'S NEW PRESIDENT ASKED FOR A CEASEFIRE

Additionally, U.S. President Trump stated, "The president of Iran's new regime, which is much less radical and much smarter than its predecessors, asked for a ceasefire from the United States." He expressed that they would evaluate this when the Strait of Hormuz is safely opened for passage.

U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and Washington administrations. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.

In the U.S.-Israel attacks, many high-ranking officials, including former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, were killed.
