President Erdoğan: We have put an end to torture in Turkey.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the World Human Rights Day Brotherhood Face Program at the AK Party Congress Center.

"WE PUT AN END TO TORTURE IN TURKEY"

In a part of his speech, Erdoğan referred to the judicial reform law packages enacted during his administration, stating, "With the judicial reform law packages and human rights action plans, we fortified our judicial system. We renewed our strength and confidence. We put an end to torture in Turkey. If we were to list them one by one, it would take us hours to implement these practices. God willing, we will continue to take steps to realize the freedom of all 85 million people from now on," he said.

MINISTER TUNÇ ALSO SHARED

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç shared President Erdoğan's statements on his social media account. Minister Tunç noted the following in his post, where he also tagged Erdoğan: "With the judicial reform law packages, human rights action plans, and judicial reform strategy documents, we fortified our judiciary and justice system. We renewed our strength and confidence. From now on, we will carry out many works together with our nation that will expand the freedom of all 85 million people."
