"STUDENT-FRIENDLY MUNICIPALITY"
Emphasizing that they are increasing investments and support for young people, Tombaş said, "We are one of the districts with the highest youth population in Istanbul. Therefore, we prioritize youth investments. We have started the construction of the Mehmet Akif Sports Complex, which will be one of the largest sports complexes in Istanbul. We have increased the capacity in our training and exam support courses at the Sultanbeyli Youth Center (SUGEM). This year, our SUGEM students achieved historic success. We reached a historic achievement with a total of 90 students in the top 100, including those who ranked in the top 2,000 and top 4,000 in the YKS Exam. We will award success prizes to those who pass the university entrance exam this year as well. We will continue our Istanbulkart subscription support. With the understanding of being a student-friendly municipality, we will continue to stand by our students at every step."
WE OPENED THE SCIENCE SULTANBEYLİ CENTER
Stating that they have increased the number of science centers in Sultanbeyli to 2, Tombaş said, "Last year, we opened our Science Sultanbeyli Center. Here, we provide free training in various fields from robotic coding to software, artificial intelligence to astronomy and space sciences. I believe that among the engineers who make Turkey's most advanced UAVs and armed UAVs, there will be young people from Sultanbeyli as well. We have a TEKNOFEST Team. They have achieved significant successes so far. We fully support the development of their projects. We are mobilizing all our resources for the TEKNOFEST Generation, which our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has repeatedly emphasized. Because we must lay the foundations of a stronger and greater Turkey in the future starting now," he stated.
