A citizen producing industrial cleaning machines in Hatay expanded abroad due to increasing demand. The young entrepreneur, who produces 10,000 brooms a year with 35 people, sells his products made entirely with local parts to 50 countries.
Deniz Genç, who lives in the Dörtyol district of Hatay, established a facility 26 years ago for the production of industrial cleaning machines in the Özerli neighborhood.
EMPLOYING 35 PEOPLE, MARKETING TO NEARLY 50 COUNTRIES
Starting to produce vacuum cleaners especially for the cleaning of mosques, Genç initially offered his products for sale domestically. As demand increased over time, Genç decided to export. Currently, he produces 7 types of vacuum cleaners in different sizes and features with 35 employees, marketing his products to nearly 50 countries.
PRODUCING 10,000 VACUUM CLEANERS PER YEAR
Deniz Genç stated that the vacuum cleaners, of which all parts are produced in their own facilities, are in high demand. He mentioned that they produce 10,000 vacuum cleaners annually at the facility and continue to develop products according to needs. Genç said they export their products to nearly 50 countries, including Russia, Indonesia, Egypt, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Malaysia.
"OUR LARGEST MARKET IS INDONESIA"
Stating that their vacuum cleaners are used in many countries with mosques, Genç said: "Our largest market is Indonesia. Our product is quite popular; they are very happy when they hear it is a Turkish product. Our product is also well-received because we make it durable. We produce everything locally, down to the screws. There is no part we import." Genç expressed that they are working to increase their production capacity and aim to send vacuum cleaners to many more markets.
