The protests in Albania have escalated significantly. Moments when a protester fired a gun into the air were captured on camera.
Tension was experienced during a demonstration held in Albania's capital, Tirana, demanding the improvement of university students' educational conditions.
THERE ARE INJURED
Citizens as well as students joined the demonstration that started in front of the Ministry of Education in Tirana. The protesters threw Molotov cocktails at the Ministry building and some businesses in the area, causing a small-scale fire.
In addition, the protesters threw stones at the Ministry and security forces and set fire to garbage containers. Thereupon, security forces used pressurized water and tear gas to disperse the protesters. Some protesters were injured in the incidents.
