Lebanon did not grant landing permission to the plane expected to depart from Iran to Beirut. While the passengers remained in Tehran, Hezbollah supporters protested the situation.
It was reported that Lebanon did not allow the plane expected to depart from Tehran, Iran, to Beirut.
The Lebanese newspaper En-Nahar reported that the plane, which was expected to depart from Iran in the afternoon, was not granted landing permission and that passengers could not depart from Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport.
THEY PROTESTED
Hezbollah supporters reacted to Lebanon's refusal to allow the flight from Iran. Protesters gathered in front of Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport, blocking the road by lighting fires, and protested the situation with Hezbollah flags and chants.
The Lebanese official news agency NNA reported that the army was trying to control the situation. Meanwhile, according to Iran's semi-official news agency Mehr, Imam Khomeini International Airport Director Said Chelandari confirmed that Lebanon did not allow the flight from Tehran to Beirut. Chelandari stated that Mahan Air's flight to Beirut was canceled and that the Civil Aviation Authority was making efforts for the flight to take place.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Israeli Army Spokesman Avichai Adraee claimed in a statement on social media yesterday that the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hezbollah were transporting money to Hezbollah through international flights.
