Osman Varol, who was appointed from the Governorship of Adıyaman to the Governorship of Aydın by Presidential Decree, began his new duty with a welcoming ceremony.
Varol was greeted in front of the governor's building by AK Party Aydın Deputy Seda Sarıbaş, Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, deputy governors, district governors, institution directors, and representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations.
After saluting the police squad, Varol then made statements to journalists.

Osman Varol, stating that he is excited and happy to start his duty, thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya.
Varol, expressing that they will work with a management approach based on common wisdom in Aydın, stated that they will act in consultation with all stakeholders.
Emphasizing that Aydın has significant potential in agriculture, tourism, and many other fields, Varol said, “I want to commit that we will together put forward our visionary works, which we will decide together for our city, that will perhaps carry us into the future and increase the welfare of our citizens.”

The protocol order experienced during the welcoming ceremony organized for Governor Osman Varol drew attention.
In the ceremony attended by political party representatives, institution directors, and protocol members, it was observed that AK Party Aydın Provincial Chairman Mehmet Erdem and MHP Aydın Provincial Chairman Osman Çımaroğlu took places at the front rows in the official protocol order.
While it was learned that provincial chairmen are in the 10th place in the official protocol list, the seating arrangement at the ceremony became a topic of debate among participants.
