Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will provide free public transportation service for 24 hours to personalized Istanbulkart holders due to the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

The practice of providing free public transportation during religious and national holidays, which was initiated by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will continue on the anniversary of the FETÖ coup attempt on July 15, 2016.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION WILL BE FREE

On July 15, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will provide free public transportation services on all Istanbulkart integrated transportation systems, including İETT General Directorate (İETT buses, Private Public Buses, Metrobuses, nostalgic trams, and tunnels), Şehir Hatları ferries, private sea transportation vehicles (except İDO Gulf), Metro Istanbul (trams, metros, light metros and funiculars, cable cars, and Kadıköy Moda Nostalgic Tram) vehicles.
