The decision regarding additional special service compensation, which closely concerns deputy provincial directors of national education, district directors of national education, and branch directors currently serving or having served within the Ministry of National Education, has been published in the Official Gazette. The regulation, enacted with President Erdoğan's signature, grants additional compensation rights to teachers who hold or have held administrative positions in the Ministry of National Education, based on their service duration. Accordingly, those covered by this scope will receive payments ranging from 3,500 lira to 9,500 lira.
It has been decided to provide additional special service compensation to teachers who have held administrative positions in the Ministry of National Education. The decision concerning teachers was published in today's Official Gazette.
COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO TEACHERS IN ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES
With Presidential Decree No. 11516, published in the Official Gazette dated July 11, 2026, and numbered 33307, amendments were made to the Special Service Compensation Table of the "Decision on Allowances and Compensations for Civil Servants," which came into effect in 2006.
WHO DOES THE REGULATION COVER?
The amendment covers personnel who have held positions in the education and training services class and who currently hold or have previously held the following administrative roles in the Ministry of National Education:
- Provincial deputy directors of national education
- District directors of national education
- Branch managers
COMPENSATION RATES BASED ON SERVICE PERIOD
According to the published decision, the additional compensation rates for managers in these positions have been determined in two tiers based on the total service period spent in teaching and administrative roles:
- Those with 20 years or more of service: Managers with a total service period of at least 20 years will receive an additional 50 points of compensation.
- Those with between 10 and 20 years of service: Managers with a total service period of at least 10 years will receive an additional 25 points of compensation.
