July heat has rapidly started to take effect across much of the country. While temperatures are reaching 40 degrees Celsius in some regions, they will exceed 35 degrees Celsius in many provinces. According to the latest weather forecasts from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM), precipitation will only be seen in limited areas across the country. In most of the country, hot and sunny weather will continue.
THAT REGION WILL BE SCORCHED BY HEAT
Temperatures are expected to rise to 40 degrees Celsius in Diyarbakır and Şanlıurfa, 37 degrees in Mardin, 36 degrees in Malatya and Denizli, and 35 degrees in İzmir, Muğla, Manisa, and Adana.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE TODAY?
According to the latest assessments by the Turkish State Meteorological Service: The northeastern parts of the country and the inner parts of the Mediterranean are expected to be partly cloudy, occasionally very cloudy, with the Taurus region of the Mediterranean, the eastern Black Sea coast, Ordu, Artvin, Ardahan and Kars surroundings, and the inner parts of Samsun and Sinop expected to have showers and thunderstorms, while other areas will be mostly clear and sunny. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy around Ordu and Giresun.
HEAVY RAIN WARNING ISSUED
Since locally heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected in Ordu and Giresun surroundings, caution and precaution should be taken against adverse conditions such as flash floods, inundations, lightning, landslides, local hail, and strong winds during rainfall.
