Two citizens who got lost in the forested area of Servetiye neighborhood in the Başiskele district of Kocaeli were found by the JAK teams of the Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Command while they were about to freeze in minus 8 degrees. The two citizens were rescued 24 hours after they became stranded.

Arda P. and Erol B., who went to the forest located in the Servetiye neighborhood of Başiskele district in Kocaeli province, got stranded in the wooded area due to heavy snowfall.

HELP REQUESTED FROM BURSA

Upon notification, teams affiliated with the Kocaeli Provincial Gendarmerie Command were dispatched to the wooded area. The teams working in the vast forest requested assistance from Bursa, which has more resources due to Uludağ. The JAK teams from the Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Command quickly reached the Kırıntı neighborhood of İznik district while on duty in Uludağ to ensure there were no adverse situations.

RESCUED JUST BEFORE FREEZING

A JAK team with a snowmobile, 2 Gendarmerie Public Order teams, UMKE, and AFAD personnel worked in the wooded area and rescued Arda P. and Erol B. just before they froze. The moment of rescue was captured second by second on a GoPro camera.
