RAMS Başakşehir lost to Rapid Wien 2-1.

Our representative in the UEFA Conference League, RAMS Başakşehir, hosted the Austrian team Rapid Wien in the first week of the league stage. The orange-blues lost to their opponent 2-1.

GOALS IN THE FIRST HALF

The visiting team Rapid Wien took the lead in the 43rd minute with a goal from Louis Schaub. Our representative responded to this goal with Krzysztof Piatek in the 45+2nd minute. Thus, the first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

SCHAUB STEPPED UP AGAIN

In the Austrian team, Louis Schaub stepped up once again as soon as the second half began. In the 46th minute, Schaub managed to find the net again, scoring his and his team's second goal, bringing Rapid Wien to a 2-1 lead.

RAPID WIEN'S GOAL WAS DISALLOWED FOR OFFSIDE

Rapid Wien found another goal in the 72nd minute, bringing the score to 3-1. The goal by Drena Beljo, who found the net with a pass from Matthias Seidl, was disallowed for offside. It was determined that Seidl, who made the assist, was in an offside position before receiving the pass, remaining in front of the RAMS Başakşehir defense. With no other goals in the remaining minutes, the visiting team left the field with a 2-1 victory.

Starting the league stage of the UEFA Conference League with a defeat, our representative RAMS Başakşehir will face Slovenian team NK Celje away on October 24 at 19:45. Rapid Wien will host the Armenian team Noah on the same day and at the same time.
