Nagehan Alçı responded to the claims in the testimony of Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who was arrested in an illegal gambling operation. Alçı said, "The money that Rasim allegedly sent to me never reached my hands; it was used from a joint account to cover his own debts."
In the investigation regarding Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who was arrested on charges of "illegal betting" and "money laundering," it was claimed that money movements in joint accounts with his ex-wife Nagehan Alçı were also examined. Following the allegations that came to light, Nagehan Alçı made a statement.
RASİM OZAN KÜTAHYALI ARRESTED
As part of the investigation centered in Adana, simultaneous operations were carried out in 21 provinces. Television commentator Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who was detained in the operation, was arrested by the court he was brought before.
According to information included in the investigation file, it was claimed that money movements in Kütahyalı's joint accounts with his ex-wife Nagehan Alçı were also examined by MASAK.
DEFENSE OF “IT’S MONEY AID”
In his statement to the police, Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı responded to the question about his ex-wife by saying, “The amounts I sent to my ex-wife Nagehan Alçı are mostly money aid.”
Kütahyalı also said, “It is the amount of money coming from the joint account I used with my ex-wife Nagehan Alçı. There is no suspicious transaction.”
NAGEHAN ALÇI MADE A STATEMENT
Following allegations that the money transfers allegedly sent by Kütahyalı to his ex-wife after the divorce were also included in the MASAK investigation, Nagehan Alçı broke her silence. Speaking to MedyaRadar, Alçı denied the allegations against her, saying, “The news about the money allegedly sent to me does not reflect the truth.”
In the continuation of her statement, Alçı said, “The money allegedly sent to me by Rasim never reached my hands; it was used from the joint account to close his own debts. I never received any money from Rasim; I have a lot of receivables for the children. I don’t know how to feel about what he is going through.”
