DEM Party reacted to the 'absolute nullity' decision regarding CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress with the statement: "The absolute nullity decision only increases disbelief in the Peace and Democratic Society Process. Practices that increase polarization in society and destroy internal peace exacerbate the crisis of trust. At a time when we are on the verge of legal regulations, this decision is a step aimed at overshadowing the Peace and Democratic Society Process."
DEM Party Central Executive Board (CEB) reacted to the decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber to annul the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention.
"WE ARE ON THE SIDE OF DEMOCRACY AND LAW"
In the written statement made by the party on the subject, the following expressions were included: "The absolute nullity decision against the CHP is part of a political pressure operation and mindset that is incompatible with law and justice, seeking to design politics through the judiciary. As the DEM Party, we are on the side of democracy and law today as in the past. The fundamental and principled motto of our decades-long struggle is to stand with the people's will against attacks on democratic politics.

Practices that increase polarization in society and destroy internal peace heighten the crisis of trust. This decision, taken as we approach the threshold of legal regulations, is a step aimed at shadowing the Peace and Democratic Society Process. The issue is Turkey's democracy issue. These unlawful and unjust practices must be immediately ended. As the DEM Party, we are together and side by side with millions of our citizens who believe they can breathe with democracy in this country, long for justice, and fight for democratic values."
