CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut said, "There is no law; they are designing politics through the judiciary in the corridors of the courthouse. Our Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and our colleagues, elected by millions of citizens, are being detained. These detentions are a coup against the will of the people, democracy, and the rule of law. We will not surrender to the lawlessness of the Palace; we will resist with each of our members," he stated.

Dilek İmamoğlu, the wife of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, said, "They came after sahur. My 13-year-old daughter said she did not want to leave school and said goodbye to her father.
