APPEAL REQUEST FROM ENES GÜRAN'S LAWYER Enes Güran's lawyer Mustafa Demir submitted an appeal to the 8th High Criminal Court to be presented to the Diyarbakır Regional Court of Appeal.
In the petition, it was stated that Narin's uncle Fuat Güran's wife, Hediye Güran, is the most important witness in the case. It was expressed, "The statements of my client's brothers Muhammed Emre Güran and Eren Güran, the visit of their uncle's wife Hediye Güran after 15:30, my client's friend Halil in Malatya and the HTS record of the conversation he had, my client's friends Muhammed Yağmur, Süleyman Kaya, Yusuf Kaya, Furkan Kaya, Ufuk Kaya, and Osman Güran and Birsen Güran, who saw my client while calling his brother in the evening, were not taken into account, and we would like to state that the reason for this was not explained in the reasoned decision, leaving it incomplete. REQUEST FOR RELEASE The petition also requested the annulment of the judgment against Enes Güran and his release, stating, "Due to the reasons mentioned above and other reasons that will be taken into account ex officio, we respectfully request the acceptance of our appeal and the annulment of the conviction decision of the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court dated 28.12.2024, numbered 2024/396 and 2024/529, on the grounds that it is unlawful in terms of procedure and substance, and that there is no concrete evidence that my client participated in the alleged crime, and that the first-instance court's unlawful conviction decision was based on irrelevant and insufficient reasons, and that the continued detention of the defendant is completely devoid of legal basis, and that the unjustified continued detention has caused irreparable harm to both my client and his family, we respectfully request that the situation of my client's detention be prioritized and that a decision be made for his release."
