Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım made striking statements about İrfan Can Eğribayat, who was loaned from Fenerbahçe with a purchase option as part of the new season planning.
İRFAN CAN RETURNING TO FENERBAHÇE
Yıldırım stated that they decided not to continue with the 27-year-old goalkeeper and announced that İrfan Can Eğribayat will return to Fenerbahçe, where his registration is held.
"DID NOT FIT OUR VISION"
Explaining the reason for the decision, Yüksel Yıldırım said, "We will sign a goalkeeper. We decided not to continue with İrfan Can Eğribayat. Unfortunately, he did not fit Samsunspor's vision. I always say this: you come to Samsunspor with your talents, but you stay with your character. Character is very important. We will not work with players who do not match in terms of character."
TRANSFER WORK CONTINUES
Also touching on transfer efforts, Yıldırım said they have reached agreements with two domestic players and can make an official announcement soon. Stating that Samsunspor's priority is transfers from abroad, Yıldırım indicated they will reinforce the areas the team needs.

Also addressing the club's transfer policy, Yıldırım expressed satisfaction with head coach Thorsten Fink and said the following:
"We have adopted the German school. Our coach does not ask for names but for specific qualities. We work with our scouting team. We do not make transfers for show."

The Samsunspor President announced that they are planning transfers for the center-back, midfield, and forward positions, adding that the positions of departing players will be filled.
