In the current system, VAR could not intervene for a player who was sent off with a second yellow card. IFAB convinced FIFA to change this system so that VAR could intervene and provide warnings. Another topic was corner kicks. The issue of VAR being able to intervene in corner kicks was proposed to FIFA. FIFA signaled that it was open to this topic by informing IFAB that it would consider it ahead of the meeting scheduled for March 1 in Zurich.
