In the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, two people died and seven were injured in an armed, stoned, and stick-wielding fight between two families over a right-of-way dispute.
RIGHT-OF-WAY FIGHT TURNS INTO DISASTER
The incident occurred in the afternoon on the Nusaybin highway near the rural Ilıcak neighborhood. A disagreement broke out between members of two families traveling in their vehicles over a right-of-way issue. The argument quickly escalated into an armed, stoned, and stick-wielding fight. Nine people were injured in the clash.
2 PEOPLE LOSE THEIR LIVES
Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals after initial intervention by the teams. Despite all medical efforts, two of the injured could not be saved. The deceased were identified as Abdullah Kılınç (29) and Doğan Baday (35).
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy, while the other injured continue to receive treatment. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
