In Istanbul, due to the celebrations of the 103rd anniversary of Republic Day on October 29, some roads, especially Vatan Avenue, were closed to traffic. According to the statement by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the roads will remain closed from 05:45 until the end of the program. Drivers can use Turgut Özal Millet Avenue, Fevzipaşa Avenue, Atatürk Boulevard, the D100 Highway, and O-3 Hal Road as alternatives. Within the scope of the measures, 111 personnel will be on duty at 58 points.
In Istanbul, some roads were closed to traffic due to the celebrations of the 103rd anniversary of the 29 October Republic Day. Police teams closed roads in the morning hours at connection points announced by the Istanbul Governor's Office, especially Vatan Street where the ceremonies will be held.
111 PERSONNEL ON DUTY AT 58 POINTS
In the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the roads to be closed to traffic from 05:45 on Thursday, 29 October 2026 until the end of the program and alternative routes were specified. The statement included, "In the traffic measures to be taken, a total of 111 personnel will be assigned at 58 points; 22 teams, 28 MTS elements, 36 foot personnel and 3 tow trucks."
