In the Oltu district of Erzurum, a light commercial vehicle whose driver lost steering control hit the median and rolled over, then crossed the barriers in the opposite lane and rolled down an approximately 22-meter cliff. IT FIRST HIT THE MEDIAN, THEN ROLLED OVER
The traffic accident that occurred in the Oltu district of Erzurum resulted in the death of a young person. The accident happened today at around 18:40 on the Oltu Ring Road. The light commercial vehicle driven by B. Ş. (21) went out of control after the driver lost steering control. The swerving vehicle first hit the median of the road. The light commercial vehicle, which rolled over due to the impact, moved toward the opposite lane. However, the vehicle did not stop there either and went over the barriers at the side of the road.
IT ROLLED DOWN A 22-METER RAVINE
After the out-of-control light commercial vehicle went over the barriers in the opposite lane, it rolled down the ravine from a height of approximately 22 meters. After falling meters down, the vehicle hit the garden wall of a house in Yasin Haşimoğlu Neighborhood. The light commercial vehicle was able to stop only after hitting the wall. The 4 people in the vehicle were affected by the accident. After the accident, medical teams were dispatched to the area upon the notification of those around.
21-YEAR-OLD KERİM CAN AYDIN DIED
Kerim Can Aydın (21), who was in the vehicle, died at the scene. In addition to Aydın, who lost his life at a young age, the other 3 people in the vehicle were also injured. The identities of the injured were announced as driver B. Ş. (21), E. A. B. (15), and Z. N. A. (17). Thus, one of the 4 people in the vehicle died, while the other 3 survived with injuries.
