OFFICIAL STATEMENT RELEASED
The deal was made through CR7 Sports Investments, a newly established subsidiary of the CR7 SA group that manages Ronaldo's sports investments. The financial details of the purchase were not disclosed.
Almeria President Mohamed Al Khereiji confirmed the agreement, stating, "We are very happy that Cristiano has chosen to invest in the club. He knows the Spanish leagues well and sees the potential we have built from the first team to the academy."
IN THE RACE FOR PROMOTION
Almeria, currently in third place in Spain's Second Division, is just behind leaders Racing Santander and CD Castellon. The club's chances of promotion to La Liga are still alive.
