The main targets of the drone attacks launched by Ukraine against Russia's Tambov and Moscow regions were logistics and supply centers. Seven people were killed and a total of 48 injured in the attacks on the giant warehouses belonging to the e-commerce platform Wildberries.

Russia woke up to violent drone attacks targeting logistics hubs at the heart of trade. The overnight air operation in the Tambov and Moscow regions turned the operational bases of Wildberries, one of the country's largest e-commerce platforms, into a battlefield.

MAJOR DESTRUCTION DURING THE NIGHT SHIFT IN TAMBOV

The heaviest toll of the attacks carried out by Ukraine occurred at a massive logistics center in Tambov. Tambov Region Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov stated that during the drone attack directly targeting the logistics center of the e-commerce platform Wildberries, the night shift was working intensely inside. The drone that hit the logistics center caused extensive destruction, resulting in the deaths of seven personnel and injuries to twenty-four others. Governor Pervyshov noted that the injured were quickly taken into treatment, and the fire that broke out after the explosion at the logistics center was brought under control, with cooling efforts ongoing.

WAREHOUSE IN MOSCOW ALSO TARGETED

Another target of the attacks aimed at paralyzing the logistics network was Moscow. According to information provided by Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov, a drone struck another Wildberries warehouse in the region. As a result of the explosion at this warehouse, where product shipments were carried out, twenty-four more people were injured.

The attacks in Moscow were not limited to supply warehouses. A large fire broke out at a critical oil storage facility in the region due to a drone attack, and a nearby maternity hospital threatened by the flames was urgently evacuated, with patients transferred to safe healthcare facilities.

HUNDREDS OF DRONES DESTROYED

Following these coordinated attacks targeting supply chains and logistics infrastructure, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued an official statement regarding the air defense activities that continued throughout the night. The Ministry announced that air defense systems across the country had intercepted and destroyed three hundred seventy-nine Ukrainian drones since the night hours.
