Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Russia launched an attack on the country overnight with 68 missiles and 351 drones. The attacks resulted in 11 deaths and 60 injuries. Ahead of the NATO Summit in Ankara, Zelenskyy called on allies to provide more Patriot system support to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Russian army carried out a massive air attack overnight, targeting the capital Kyiv and various other regions of the country.

According to information provided by Zelensky, the attacks involved 68 missiles and 351 armed unmanned aerial vehicles.

DEATH TOLL AND INJURY COUNT RISING

According to initial assessments, 11 people lost their lives in the attacks, while the number of injured rose to 60. It was reported that 64 people trapped under the rubble were rescued by emergency teams.

In an attack on the town of Vishneve near Kyiv, it was stated that 3 people died and 16 were injured.

SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE IN KYIV

Damage occurred at various locations in the capital Kyiv, as search and rescue teams continue their operations.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko also stated that the attacks began during the night, announcing that according to initial assessments, 11 people were killed and dozens were injured.

ZELENSKY CALLS ON NATO

Ahead of the NATO Summit to be held in Ankara, Zelensky addressed allied countries, requesting more Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine.

Stating that Patriot missiles are sitting in depots, Zelensky emphasized that the US and Europe need to make stronger decisions to protect Ukraine's airspace.
