During the Hacı Bektaş Veli commemoration events, DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları left the protocol area during the moments when former CHP deputy and leading figure of Turkish folk music Sabahat Akkiraz was performing. While Hatimoğulları's action, who returned after Akkiraz's performance ended, was interpreted as a protest, Akkiraz reacted to the situation on social media saying, 'My deyişs are not granted to everyone.'
The 63rd National and 37th International Hacı Bektaş Veli Commemoration Ceremonies and Cultural Arts Events took place in the Hacıbektaş district of Nevşehir.
Notable moments occurred during the ceremony, attended by New Party Chairman Özgür Özel and DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları.
AKKİRAZ TOOK THE STAGE, HATİMOĞULLARI LEFT HER PROTOCOL SEAT
During the event, as former CHP deputy and prominent Turkish folk music artist Sabahat Akkiraz took the stage, DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları left her designated seat in the protocol area empty.
When Akkiraz's performance ended and she left the stage, Hatimoğulları returned to her seat, which was interpreted by those in the hall and the public as an open protest against Sabahat Akkiraz.
AKKİRAZ: MY DEYİŞLER ARE NOT GRANTED TO EVERYONE
Following the incident, Akkiraz made a meaningful statement on her social media account. Akkiraz said, "I set my stage time myself at the Hacıbektaş Commemoration events. I had it changed to an earlier time than my scheduled slot for 'obvious reasons.' My deyişler are not granted to everyone."
In her previous statements, Akkiraz had criticized the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process and reacted to Halk TV hosting Hatimoğulları.
