Samet Akaydin, who wears the Çaykur Rizespor jersey, made statements regarding his time at Fenerbahçe on Tivibu Spor screens.
''I DON'T HOLD A GRUDGE OR HATRED TOWARDS FENERBAHÇE''
Speaking about his time at Fenerbahçe, Samet Akaydin said, "People ask me, 'Are you regretting going to Fenerbahçe?' I'm actually not regretful. I went to Fenerbahçe willingly and with love. The greatness of Fenerbahçe is undeniable. It's a very big community, a very big club. Despite everything I've experienced, I don't hold a grudge or hatred towards Fenerbahçe. I don't have that kind of nature. I'm glad I went to Fenerbahçe and played football there. I'm happy and proud of that." he said.
''I BECAME A VICTIM OF TROLL ACCOUNTS''
The national star, who stated that he became a victim of social media during his time at Fenerbahçe, said, "Yes, I made mistakes at Fenerbahçe, but everyone makes mistakes. I continued to watch their matches even after I left Fenerbahçe. Were mistakes not made? They were made again. But no one received as much reaction as I did. That was my problem. I think I became a victim of troll accounts at Fenerbahçe. Real Fenerbahçe fans always supported me when they saw me on the street. But I'm talking about real Fenerbahçe fans. I'm not talking about those troll accounts or accounts created by 6-7 year old kids. I already think that social media has no reality." he expressed.
''I WAS REMOVED FROM THE STARTING 11 FOR MY MAY 19 POST''
Samet Akaydin, who had issues due to a May 19 post while playing for Panathinaikos, said, "When I was wearing the Panathinaikos jersey, I was removed from the starting 11 because of my May 19 post. Later, they wanted to talk to me and asked me to remove the post, saying that it was a day of mourning for Greece. I told them I wouldn't remove it. The next day when I went to the stadium, I saw that I was not in the squad. They told me there would be a reaction, and if I went on the field, they couldn't protect me. I got incredibly angry and decided to leave Panathinaikos." he stated.
