Saudi Arabian Minister of Transport Saleh al-Jasser announced that they expect the joint feasibility studies for the railway line extending through Turkey via Jordan and Syria to be completed before the end of the year. The project aims to transport goods from Jordan to Europe via Turkey.

Saudi Arabian Transport Minister Saleh Al-Jasser made a statement on the matter to Al Arabiya channel. Minister Al-Jasser stated that joint studies are ongoing regarding the railway project that will connect Saudi Arabia and Turkey via Jordan and Syria.

Al-Jasser expressed that the joint studies for the railway are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

STUDIES CONTINUE ON THE TURKEY, SYRIA, AND JORDAN LINE

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, during his visit to Jordan, had said that the construction of the "modern Hejaz Railway," which will connect Turkey, Syria, and Jordan, is planned.

Uraloğlu had stated that the railway line to be built between the three countries is planned to be extended to Saudi Arabia and Oman in the future.

Uraloğlu noted that with the implementation of the project, the aim is to transport goods departing from Jordan to Turkey via Syria, and from there to Europe and Central Asia, thus emphasizing the goal of connecting the Red Sea with the Mediterranean and Europe.
