A woman living in Kocaeli's Darıca district claimed during a live broadcast on TikTok that she was subjected to violence by her husband. After the footage spread on social media, police teams took action.
THE TRUTH EMERGED DURING THE POLICE RAID
Upon receiving the report, police teams who went to the address determined that the incident was not as claimed. The suspect woman confessed that she had injured herself to gain more views and that the incident was fabricated.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON CHARGES OF "MISLEADING THE PUBLIC"
After the truth came to light, the woman was taken into custody on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information." Following legal procedures, she was referred to the Gebze Courthouse.
