WHY IS DEBT TAKEN DURING THE TENDER PROCESS?
Businessman Turgut Koç gave a statement about İzmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan. According to the statement in the file, Koç claimed that Hürriyet asked for help during the vehicle rental tender process and requested money after the tender was completed.
Koç stated, "The Mayor asked me for money because of this vehicle tender. I gave approximately 3 kilograms of gold as a debt to Fatma Kaplan at nighttime while going towards Istanbul on the Northern Marmara Highway Akmeşe road."
"I COULDN'T GET BACK THE GOLD I GAVE"
Koç claimed that the gold was in a bag, part of which he obtained from the Grand Bazaar, part from his circle, and from individuals named A.O. and F.Y. In the continuation of his statement, Koç declared, "Fatma Kaplan later did not extend the contract period with the company, limiting it to the tender period. I also could not get back the 3 kilograms of gold I gave as debt."
