A secret intelligence report published in the US press has sparked a new debate in Washington. The report claims that Iran has retained most of its military capacity, while asserting that the US has experienced a serious decline in critical ammunition stocks. US President Donald Trump responded harshly to the news.
The secret intelligence report published by the American New York Times drew attention to Iran's military capacity around the Strait of Hormuz. The report claimed that Iran maintains access to 30 of its 33 missile ramps and that approximately 70 percent of its missile stocks remain usable.
The report also included an assessment that Iran retains the military capability to threaten American warships.
IRAN'S UNDERGROUND FACILITIES HIGHLIGHTED
The report alleged that most of Iran's underground missile storage and launch facilities are active. Based on data from satellite imagery and surveillance systems, military intelligence units assessed that approximately 90 percent of the underground facilities across the country are usable.
ALLEGATION OF DECLINE IN US AMMUNITION STOCKS
The report also stated that the US military has suffered significant losses in critical ammunition stocks, particularly claiming serious depletion of Tomahawk cruise missiles, Patriot air defense missiles, and ATACMS ground-based missile systems.
TRUMP'S FIERY RESPONSE
US President Donald Trump reacted sharply to the news on his social media account. In his post, Trump said, "The fake news media says the Iranian enemy is militarily successful against us. This claim is so wrong and absurd that it amounts to treason. They are aiding and abetting the enemy."
Trump also claimed that 159 Iranian ships have been completely sunk. In his statement, he said, "What they are doing is giving Iran false hope where there should be none. Only losers, ingrates, and fools produce arguments against America."
