It has been claimed that the Israeli intelligence agency MOSSAD kidnapped retired general security officer Ahmad Shukr in a secret operation in Lebanon. THEY ENTERED LEBANON 2 DAYS BEFORE THE OPERATION
According to the information in the news, MOSSAD agents entered Lebanon through Beirut International Airport two days before the operation. It was claimed that the agents carried Swedish passports and left the country shortly after the operation.
Lebanese sources stated that Shukr was pulled back from the village of Nabi Sheet in the Bekaa Valley to the mountainous region of Zahle, and that the kidnapping incident occurred there. No details were shared about how Shukr was convinced to leave the area he was in.
THEY WANT TO LEARN ABOUT RON ARAD'S FATE
Israeli sources claimed that they believe Shukr may have information regarding Ron Arad's fate. It was alleged that Arad was last seen in a house belonging to the Shukr family in Nabi Sheet, and that Shukr's brother was also among those involved in Arad's kidnapping. It was noted that this brother was killed in clashes with Israeli forces in 1988.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
A Lebanese judicial official announced that the investigation into Ahmad Shukr's disappearance is ongoing. The official stated that there is information indicating that one of the Swedes who arrived in the country two days before Shukr's kidnapping left Beirut Airport on the day Shukr went missing. According to the official, investigators are looking into the possibilities that Shukr was killed by Israeli agents or kidnapped to Israel; so far, no trace has been found within Lebanon.
Additionally, it was reminded that Israeli intelligence had previously conducted various raids in Lebanon, with allegations that some individuals were killed or kidnapped during these operations.
