Baykar Chairman of the Board and Technology Leader Selçuk Bayraktar used the P180 aircraft of the Italian aviation giant Piaggio Aerospace, which Baykar won in the sales tender.
BAYRAKTAR ENTERED THE COCKPIT
During the flight in Italy, Bayraktar took his place in the second pilot seat of the Piaggio P180. After taking off from Genoa Airport, Bayraktar flew to Piaggio's factory, where he piloted the aircraft along with one of Piaggio's pilots. Sharing the video of the flight on his X account, Bayraktar stated, "Our first landing with the Piaggio P180 aircraft on the runway of Piaggio Aerospace in Genoa."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
In the tender held for the sale of Piaggio Aerospace, Baykar, the world's largest armed unmanned aerial vehicle company, made the best offer. Baykar won the tender, which was a competitive process, by surpassing its rivals from different countries.
