Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı made statements following the 1-0 loss in the Fenerbahçe derby in the 28th week of the Super League.
"IF THEY HAD ANY SHAME, THEY WOULD RESIGN TONIGHT''
Calling on the Chairman of the Referees' Association, Ferhat Gündoğdu, and his assistant, Serdal Adalı said, "The game was quite enjoyable, but unfortunately, the last-minute penalty forced us to talk about the referee again. As a community and management, we are tired of talking about VAR. There is a ridiculous incident at hand. I am tired of saying it. As long as this person, who is the chairman of the Referees' Association and his assistant, continues like this, Turkish football cannot progress. If they have any shame, they would resign. Get off the back of Turkish football. Whoever appointed this VAR referee… Get off the back of Turkish football!" he said.
"FENERBAHÇE DOES NOT NEED THIS"
Stating that Fenerbahçe does not need to win 3 points by earning a penalty, Adalı said, "We are putting in effort, spending money; then a referee… They already cleaned us out 3-4 weeks ago. Fenerbahçe does not need this. How can you seize this effort? Fenerbahçe has also put in effort. Can't you train 15 referees?" he expressed.
"IF THEY HAVE ANY HONOR, THEY WILL LEAVE!"
Finally addressing the Portuguese referee trainers who are training referees in Riva, Adalı commented, "Portuguese trainers... Who have they trained! When it comes to words, they say they will take the whole community to court! Go ahead, let me see! If they have any honor, they will leave tomorrow morning!"
