In the context of the 2025 appointments by the General Directorate of Security, Serdar Büyükleblebici has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, while the former head of the department, Şükrü Yaman, has been assigned to the Balıkesir Police Department.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the appointments related to the departments of the General Directorate of Security. According to the decree published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Serdar Büyükleblebici was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department. Serdar Büyükleblebici was serving as the Şırnak Police Chief. The previous KOM President, Şükrü Yaman, was appointed to the Balıkesir Police Department.

Thanking the department heads who have served so far for their services, Yerlikaya noted:

37 POLICE CHIEFS APPOINTED TO PROVINCES, 22 POLICE CHIEFS REASSIGNED TO CENTRAL
With the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, a new police chief was appointed to 37 provinces, and 22 police chiefs were reassigned to central positions.
According to the decree published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Şırnak Police Chief Serdar Büyükleblebici, Bartın Police Chief Ünsal Hayal, Bitlis Police Chief Ortaç Şekeroğlu, Erzurum Police Chief Kadir Yırtar, Uşak Police Chief Mehmet Ali Kolcu, Sivas Police Chief Burhan Akçay, Malatya Police Chief Arif Çankal, Adıyaman Police Chief Alper Uzman, Kırşehir Police Chief Erdoğan Kartal, Karabük Police Chief Mehmet Ali Hasan Köse, Muğla Police Chief Ali Canbolat, Sakarya Police Chief Selçuk Doğuş, Bilecik Police Chief Hakan Yılmaz, Çanakkale Police Chief Kenan Kurt, Kırıkkale Police Chief Mustafa Emre Başbuğ, Giresun Police Chief Tacettin Çelebi, Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan, Trabzon Police Chief Murat Esertürk, Mersin Police Chief Kamil Karabörk, Tunceli Police Chief Hakan Duman, Bolu Police Chief Cemal Dalman, and Mardin Police Chief Cebrail Buğday were appointed to the General Directorate of Security and reassigned to central positions.
Diyarbakır Police Chief Fatih Kaya was appointed as Deputy General Director of Security, and Chief Inspector Cemil Çamlıbel was appointed as the 1st Legal Advisor.
