YÖK President Erol Özvar made a statement regarding the situation of Bilgi University, which was seized as part of the investigation against Can Holding. Özvar stated, "There is no cause for concern for our faculty members, administrative staff, and students. Educational activities at our university will continue uninterrupted."
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Küçükçekmece issued detention orders for 10 individuals, including Can Holding executives Mehmet Şakir Can, Kemal Can, and Kenan Tekdağ, while seizing 121 companies under the holding and appointing the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) as the trustee. Among the seized companies are Habertürk, Show TV, Bloomberg, Doğa Koleji, and Istanbul Bilgi University.
Some of the companies that have been appointed a trustee are as follows:
"Habertürk Journalism, Ciner Media TV Services, Show Television Broadcasting, Boğaziçi Radio Television Broadcasting and Advertising, Energy Petroleum Products Marketing, Doğa Schools Management, Bilgi Doğa Education Management, Turktobacco Cigarette Import and Export Marketing, HT Sports Television Broadcasting, and Bosphorus Media Group Radio and Television Broadcasting Joint Stock Company."

The President of the Higher Education Council (YÖK), Erol Özvar, made a statement regarding the situation of Istanbul Bilgi University within the scope of the investigation against Can Holding on his official X account. Özvar stated the following:
"As part of the judicial investigation conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Küçükçekmece against Can Holding, Istanbul Bilgi University has also been included in the process along with the companies belonging to the holding."
