A total of 121 companies, including Habertürk and Show TV, which are part of the holding, have been seized. HERE ARE THE ALLEGATIONS
The Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued detention orders for 8 individuals, including Can Holding owners Mehmet Şakir Can, Kemal Can, and Kenan Tekdağ. Those detained in the investigation are facing charges of "establishing a criminal organization," "smuggling," "fraud," and "money laundering."
121 COMPANIES SEIZED
As part of the investigation, 121 companies, including Habertürk and Show TV, which are part of Can Holding, have been seized.
Gendarmerie teams began searching the Can Holding Headquarters and affiliated companies early in the morning.
IT WAS SOLD IN DECEMBER 2024
Turgay Ciner transferred all his shares, including those of Habertürk and Show TV, to Can Group in December 2024 and withdrew from the media. At that time, Can Holding stated:
"A contract has been signed for the share transfer between Park Group and Ciner Media Holding. We thank Park Group for their courtesy during this process. After the transfer procedures are completed, our investments in the media sector will be managed under the leadership of Mr. Mehmet Kenan Tekdağ, Chairman of the Board of Ciner Media Holding."
